Get A Job At Exxon

An interest in energy development and the use and marketing of oil and gas may lead a job seeker right to the door of Exxon. A publicly traded, international company, Exxon is a leader in the petroleum and energy industry. Exxon's continual roster of job openings may include positions as an oil and gas marketer, engineering technician or a chemist. Exxon also has a need for interns and entry-level job candidates with less than a year of work experience.


Instructions


1. Visit the ExxonMobile career and jobs website that fits you and locate a job that you qualify for. Choose from Exxon's four career sites: Operations, Administrative Support, Campus Recruiting or Experienced Professional Recruiting. Entry-level and intern positions are listed on the Campus Recruiting site.


2. Locate a job you qualify for and fill out an application. Exxon manages its application process through a secure, online process. Filling out an application will require the applicant to sign-up for an online employment account with Exxon. Applicant's will be required to read the E-Verify Notice and the Right to Work Notice before signing up for an account.


3. Complete the application process. Upload your resume and cover letter and fill out all questionnaires connected with the job position. Make sure your resume and cover letter include the key points the job requirements outline. The online application process identifies resumes according to keywords and phrases used in the job requirements description. The resumes of potential applicant's are identified by these keywords. If the job requires you to have "2 years of AutoCAD drafting experience" and you have that knowledge and work history then list it in your resume as "2 years of AutoCAD drafting experience."


4. Wait for a call requesting a one-on-one interview. A telephone interview may occur before a one-on-one interview is scheduled. Learn about Exxon's history and current initiatives by studying the Exxon website. Be prepared for the interview process by writing a list of questions about Exxon and the job position.
