Lds Relief Society Gifts

Relief Society is characterized by service and charity.

Relief Society is a women's organization in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (LDS). The women in this organization are service oriented and often find opportunities to give gifts and service to other sisters in the organization. There are several different types of gifts that Relief Society sisters can give.

Food

Food is a popular gift choice for Relief Society sisters. A plate of cookies or a home-cooked meal can make the life of an LDS woman easier. This is especially true for LDS women that don't have a lot of time or energy. Similarly, a tray of small treats with thoughtful sayings attached can be a meaningful gift. Many LDS Relief Society members are looking for new meals to cook for their families. Whip up your favorite meal or dish and include the recipe.

Crafts

Many Relief Society members love crafts. Give sisters a craft kit for one of your favorite crafts. Be sure to include all of the necessary components and any instructions needed for completing the project. While many women may enjoy crafts, not everyone likes making them. Give these sisters the finished product instead of the craft kit.

Useful Items

Practical gifts are a hit among Relief Society members. This is because LDS women have a lot of duties and responsibilities. In some circumstances, kids, work or lack of money can make it difficult for some Relief Society members to meet all of their needs. Gift an item that is useful or practical. These types of items may include towels, kitchen utensils or children's clothes. When you have the chance, ask the Relief Society sister what she needs. Dress up practical items with poems or quotes from LDS church authorities.

Time

Among the best gifts you can give to an LDS Relief Society sister is the gift of time. Time is free, and can make the recipient feel loved. Offer to wash dishes or clean their home. Babysit children so that the Relief Society member can go on a date with her husband. Spend time chatting with an older sister to keep her company.
