Create Virtual Flash Cards

Create Virtual Flash Cards

Do all of your studying online by creating virtual flash cards. There are several websites that offer free, online study spaces where you can customize cards for the specific topics you are studying. Create different sets and store them in your online account. Flip through them with the click of your mouse on the "Flip Card" button at the bottom of the virtual card on the screen or by a tap on your space bar.

Instructions

1. Open an account at The Flash Card Machine website. Opening an account is free, but you will have to enter your email address, a user name and a password. The Flash Card Machine will send you a verification email. Click on the link in the verification email to finish setting up your account.

2. Click on the link "Get Started Creating Flashcards." The Flash Card Machine website will direct you to a log-in page. Type in your user name and password.

3. Click on the button "Create a New Flashcard Set." The Flash Card Machine will prompt you to fill out several form fields, such as giving your card set a title and picking a font style. Fill out and select the appropriate information and click the "Save Set Details" button.

4. Click the button "Quick Editor," which is the second button in the second row of buttons on the screen. You will see columns with empty form fields. In the left column, you can type a study question. In the right, you can type the answer. Click the "Save" button and two new empty form fields will appear. Then click the "Exit" button.

5. Click the "Start Study Session" button to begin your virtual flashcard review. To flip through the cards, simply press the space bar.
