There are many scholarships for minority women who are pursuing graduate degrees.
If you're a minority woman who's considering graduate school or if already pursuing a graduate degree, there are a number of scholarships available to help make your education more affordable. These programs are meant to increase the number of minority women pursuing advanced degrees and reward these students for their academic achievement.
AAUW Selected Professions Fellowship
The American Association of University Women sponsors the Selected Professions Fellowship program, which provides education funding to minority women who are pursuing graduate degrees in business administration, law and medicine. The program provides awards ranging from $5,000 to $18,000 to selected students who demonstrate academic achievement and an interest in helping women and minorities in their chosen field. All applicants must be enrolled on a full-time basis at an accredited U.S. college or university.

National Physical Science Consortium Fellowship
The National Physical Science Consortium's Fellowship program welcomes minority women students who are interested in pursuing graduate studies in the physical sciences, including astronomy, chemistry, geoscience, physics and certain engineering specializations. The program provides education support in the amount of $16,000 annually to selected students who have a minimum 3.0 GPA and are enrolled in a terminal master's degree program at an NPSC member institution. Those individuals who have already earned a doctorate degree may not apply.

Judith McManus Price Scholarship
The American Planning Association administers the Judith McManus Price Scholarship for minority women who are completing graduate degrees in urban planning. Applicants must be of African-American, HIspanic or Native American descent and be enrolled full-time at an accredited college or university. To qualify for the $4,000 award, students must demonstrate financial need and a desire to work as an urban planner in the public sector.

William Rucker Greenwood Scholarship
The William Rucker Greenwood Scholarship is available to minority women students who are pursuing graduate degrees in geoscience at accredited schools in Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia or the District of Columbia. Scholarships of $1,000 are awarded to selected students who demonstrate potential for professional leadership in the geoscience field and a commitment to the philosophy and goals of the Association for Women Geoscientists.

AT&T Labs Research Fellowship
The AT&T Labs Fellowship Program is open to minority women students who are pursuing degrees in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) and related fields. Applicants must be of African-American, Hispanic or Native American descent and they must be enrolled or planning to enrolled in a degree program leading to a Ph.D. Selected students will receive a full tuition scholarship, including books and fees, as well as a monthly stipend and the opportunity to participate in paid summer internships.
