Park makes a great adventurous holiday for children.
When taking your kids on a holiday, or vacation, you want them to get physical activity and learn more about themselves and the world around them. You have many options for such vacations. Huntington Beach Adventure Playground
Located in Huntington Beach, California, the Huntington Beach Adventure Playground is open to children between six and 12 years old. The playground runs from mid-June through mid-August of each year. While attending this summer event, children learn practical skills, such as using a saw and hammer. Additionally, students participate in various physical activities, including playing in the mud, climbing structures and swinging on tires, among others. The playground is located in Huntington Central Park.
Disney's Animal Kingdom Park
Disney's Animal Kingdom Park, part of Walt Disney World, is dedicated to teaching kids about nature and conservation. The park, located in Orlando, Florida, is home to more than 1,700 animals from 250 different species. The park is divided into seven areas: Oasis, Discovery Island, Camp Minnie-Mickey, Africa, Rafiki's Planet Watch, Asia and Dinoland U.S.A. Children can get close enough to pet the animals. The park includes parades, performances featuring various music shows and other featuring birds.
Yellowstone National Park
Located across 3,500 miles covering parts of Montana, Utah and Idaho, Yellowstone National Park has several activities for children and families. You can visit the Dragon's Mouth Spring, Old Faithful Inn, the largest log hotel in the world and Fountain Paint Pots, which features several geysers, mud pots and steaming fumaroles. Kids will be fascinated to see dangerous animals up close, but from a safe distance. They can also become Junior Rangers, which gets kids involved in wildlife, ecology, geology and hiking activities.
Yosemite National Park
Three main areas of Yosemite National Park make ideal adventure holidays for children. Visit Yosemite Valley, featuring the Half Dome and El Capitan landmarks, along with the highest waterfall in the nation, Yosemite Falls. You can also visit South Yosemite (Wawona, Mariposa Grove), featuring Glacier Point, the Badger Pass ski area, the Pioneer Yosemite History Center and various swimming holes. Finally, you can visit North Yosemite (Tuolumne Meadows), featuring the Crane Flat Fire Lookout, giant sequoias in Tuolumne Grove, views of glaciers at Olmsted Point and water fun for kids at Tuolumne Meadows.
