Dog Friendly Hotels Near The Grand Canyon

Leashed dogs are allowed along the paved, scenic rim trail.

While there are a few dog-friendly lodges near the small town of Tusayan, Ariz., a mile from the Grand Canyon entrance, visitors often stay at hotels in Williams, which is moments from the Grand Canyon Railway that provides scenic train trips to the national landmark. Some Williams' hotels are pet-friendly, as are parts of the Grand Canyon itself. No dogs are allowed on trails below the canyon's rim, but there are day-use kennels where dogs can stay during your visit. Leashed dogs may accompany you along the paved rim trail with its excellent views of the canyon, and, according to dogfriendly.com, "well-behaved dogs are allowed on the Geology Walk...a one-hour, park ranger-guided tour."
