AAA Grand Canyon vacations
In northwestern Arizona, the Grand Canyon of the Colorado River holds geological significance. At no other place in the world is there stratum of rock distinctly marking a period of the Earth's history from 2 billion to 250 million years ago. The canyon is 277 miles long and averages 10 miles wide; the bottom is 5,700 feet below the North Rim, which averages 1,200 feet higher than the South Rim.
The Grand Canyon's eastern border perimeters are the multicolored walls, with the Painted Desert lying beyond. The western segment of the canyon includes the Havasu Canyon.

Grand Canyon Railway
The AAA Grand Canyon Railway vacation includes round-trip coach train travel from Williams Depot on the South Rim of the canyon to the Grand Canyon, where vacationers board a motor coach for a three- to four-hour guided tour of the canyon. They then leave the Grand Canyon on the Grand Canyon Railway heading back to Williams Depot. The train trip is approximately two hours each way.
The Railway Getaway Plus vacation package includes the round-trip coach class train travel, two nights at the Grand Canyon Railway Hotel in Williams, with two breakfasts and two dinners per person.

Trafalgar Vacations
The AAA Trafalgar Trailblazer seven-night vacation begins in Las Vegas, Nevada, with two nights at the Las Vegas Hilton. On the third day, head to Sedona, Arizona, for shopping and rock climbing, staying at the Radisson Poco Diablo Resort. Continue on to the Grand Canyon, visiting a Navajo Indian reservation, with the option to participate in a sightseeing flight over the canyon.
Staying at Lake Powell Resort overnight, vacationers see the lake created by the backing up of the Colorado River. The next day, visitors travel into Utah for a motor-coach drive through Bryce Canyon National Park and Zion National Park. Two nights at the Majestic View Lodge are reserved at Zion National Park before visitors return to Las Vegas to head home.
