Pastel Accounting Training

Pastel is a brand of business accounting software.

Pastel is a brand of accounting software manufactured by a South African company and customized for South African accounting standards. The company sells its product in more than 50 other countries as well.

Types

Sage Pastel, the manufacturer of Pastel accounting software, offers classroom training through its own locations and through partner companies to help purchasers of its software utilize all the features of its programs. The company offers hands-on training in each of its programs such as My Business Online, Pastel Auditor and Pastel Express.

Pastel Authorized Training Centers

Pastel training is also available at authorized training centers (ATCs). These businesses offer educational services in training businesses to fully utilize their Pastel software. There are ATCs in countries outside of South Africa to serve those customers too far away to attend classes at the Sage Pastel facility. Companies can apply to become ATCs. There are other software companies that provide Pastel training, even though Pastel does not officially recognize them as ATCs.

On-Site Trainers

Pastel licenses and authorizes on-site trainers for its programs. Businesses can get Pastel accounting training through an on-site Pastel trainer, who visits the company and trains employees in their own facilities, using their own equipment. On-site trainers are contractors with Pastel. They often have a computer consulting business of some kind, then complete a Pastel certification to become an on-site trainer.
