A Bachelor of Science differs from a Bachelor of Arts in that it places more emphasis on applied knowledge. This four-year program generally covers a technical field that requires certain prerequisites and a specific path toward fulfillment of the degree. Whether you studied math, physics, chemistry, biology, astronomy or other sciences, you can find a career path that suits your personal skills and takes advantage of your scientific knowledge.
Instructions
1. Use your degree to enter or start in the medical field. Become a surgeon, nurse, ER doctor, anesthesiologist or psychiatrist to treat and ameliorate a variety of ailments.
2. Perform research at a laboratory. You could investigate cures for diseases, study the global climate, stumble upon a new invention or modify the genetics of crops to generate more food. Many corporations, such as drug companies and car manufacturers, need researchers to develop new products and analyze their performance. A Bachelor of Science degree is a good starting level of education for any of these fields.
3. Become an engineer and design a variety of objects, such as infrastructure, space shuttles, buildings, medical devices, cars, software, ships or nuclear power plants. You can use both your technical knowledge and your creativity to improve the safety, function and aesthetics of your society.
4. Help crime labs solve mysteries. Analyze DNA to convict criminals, assess the bodies of victims to determine the cause of death, or lend your knowledge of botany, geology or chemistry to provide clues in an investigation.
5. Pass your knowledge of science on to a new generation as a teacher or professor.
