Create Business Signs

Signs should be clear and crisp to read

Creating a sign for your business is fundamental in letting people easily find you, along with giving your company a professional and recognizable presence within the area. High quality signs will be water resistant and able to survive tough weather conditions, along with being bright and eye-catching enough to attract attention from people who otherwise wouldn't notice your organization. Depending on your requirements, there are a number of different ways to produce signs; these can be tailored to your specific size requirements.

Instructions

1. Produce the digital artwork for your sign. Typically this will be your company's logo, either in whole or adapted around additional decoration. If using a logo isn't preferable, it's common practice to commission a designer to create the necessary decals; the finished product may be as straightforward as an original font displaying your business name.

2. Save the artwork as a PDF or other lossless file type. Ensure that the artwork is made to digital scale; for example, if your sign will be 12x12 inches, the digital canvas of your design should be too. If you're not sure about what size you want, save the artwork as the largest size which might be selected; it's always preferable to shrink artwork down rather than artificially enlarge it. Alternatively, if the artwork is produced using vector graphics, the size won't be an issue; these graphics can automatically be resized without a decline of image quality.

3. Select a company which you will commission to produce the sign. There will be different companies for different types of signs -- whether you want a canvas banner or a large plastic frame, there will be an organization which can produce it for you.

4. Select the type of sign you want and order it on the company's website. This will involve digitally emailing them a copy of your sign's artwork.
